Synchronisation keeps your patients list and their respective treatments up to date. If you work with several other therapists (surgery, hospital service, pain relief centres, etc.), then whoever takes charge of the patient:

• has immediate access to the programmes chosen for the patient’s electrotherapy protocol, without having to search through the care file.
• therapeutic consistency and follow-up are guaranteed from session to session.

To accurately evaluate the effectiveness of a treatment, it is important to define the conditions under which it carried out. Some features have been added to Compex 3 to:

• lock access in “patient” mode to prevent the patient from accidentally modifying the treatment.
• impose (if necessary) the order for carrying out the recorded treatments, to ensure a logical, progressive process.
• determine whether the patient has completed each session entirely. If you choose the “100% execution” option, then only treatments carried out completely will be included in statistics.
• extract and print the history of treatments carried out for each patient, in order to send them to a colleague, to the prescribing physician, or to archive them in a paper file.

Compex 3 features an anti-theft system. During synchronisation, you can enter a number of days of use. After that period, the device will no longer work if it is not synchronised to the original computer. This option is especially useful when lending the device for home use during several weeks.

The results of TENS treatment is directly related to how well the programme is tailored to the patient’s sensitivity. Yet this sensitivity is very difficult to determine, and varies from patient to patient (hyperallergic patients, children, athletes undergoing rehabilitation, etc.).
To meet this requirement, Compex 3 uses the Intelligent TENS solution.
Before starting the programme, the stimulator launches a sensitivity test. As soon as the patient feels the first signs of tingling, he presses the MEMO button on the stimulator to confirm the threshold; the programme applies the measured sensitivity automatically.
The patient benefits from the programme best suited to his case, ensuring the optimal therapeutic results.

To help you progressively take advantage of all the latest advances in electrotherapy provided by Compex 3, the system is extremely flexible:

- It can work like a traditional stimulator, such as the Compex 2 (without the mi technology or the patient interface).

- It can work using the muscle intelligence™ technology only, without the patient interface; and conversely with the patient interface but without using the muscle intelligence™ technology.

- It can operate with all its features.
